Hello everyone, I would like to introduce you all to our new venture. As you know, I have been collecting things and shipping to Haiti for the past several years and also did a couple of missionary work trips to Haiti and the Dominican Republic. With the current unsettled situation in Haiti and the excessive cost of shipping things, we have had to cease shipments – but we still want to help!
It is much more manageable for us to partner with a charitable organization in Canada, Liaison Internationale des Haitiens (LIH) to continue our international projects. We will be working together with LIH but will also be working with some local organizations. The end result of these changes is that we are opening a Thrift Shop at the CaribAfrica former location. It will be called RENOUVEAU.
Renouveau is a unique social enterprise operated thrift shop whose mission is to support local and international partners. These partners work in education, immigration, facilitate the social integration of the homeless, assist children and families in need, provide hope to people who have difficulty integrating into the job market while inspiring everyone to take action to preserve the environment. We plan to re-open as RENOUVEAU in September 2019.
We will gladly and gratefully receive donations of clean clothing & household items – except for mattresses, cribs, car seats & furniture. Thank you for your continuing support of our ventures. Donations may be dropped off at the shop during open hours.
Contact us on Facebook or by phone (289)990-4634 for further information or to arrange pickup of donations if you are unable to deliver. Please follow our Facebook page @ https://www.facebook.com/Renouveau-LIH-Donate-110287543661848/
Thank you for your support.
